Personal Assistants WA - Self Management made Easier
We are excited to announce the launch of our new division – Personal Assistants WA. We created this service to complement Inclusion WA’s existing Individualised Services. Personal Assistants WA has been established to support people who are interested in having more control over their lives by Self-Managing their funding under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Under the NDIS people can choose between three options to manage their funding – Self-Managed, Plan Managed and Agency Managed. Typically Inclusion WA works alongside people who choose an Agency Managed option. Personal Assistants WA works alongside people who chose a Plan Managed or Self-Managed option.
The creation of Personal Assistants WA has been driven by the following thinking:
1) If we could provide services which made it easier for NDIS Participants to Self-Manage their funding, would more NDIS Participants choose Self-Management?
2) What supports could we provide staff who choose to work for people who are Self Managing?
We are always looking to how we can improve our services to provide the best possible support for people. With Personal Assistants WA we are excited to be placing power back into the hands of the individual by supporting people to have more choice and control over their lives under the NDIS.
