Inclusion WA Finalist in Child Safety Awards
Inclusion WA is thrilled to have been chosen as a finalist in this year’s Constable Care Child Safety Awards.
The Karratha School Holiday Program has been shortlisted in the Child Safety Program & Partnership Award – Regional and Remote WA category.
Inclusion WA set up the Program in Karratha two years ago, and has had fantastic results as young people in the area build confidence, self-respect and respect for others. The Program has also had fantastic community building outcomes – with many commenting on the connectedness of the Karratha community since the Program’s inception.
The Program is almost at a sustainable level, and in the next year Inclusion WA hopes to ‘step back’ from the Program and the Karratha community will take ownership and run the Program.
The Constable Care Child Safety Awards is an independent statewide awards program created to celebrate the achievements of remarkable Western Australians dedicated to protecting children from harm and creating child-safe environments and communities.
This statewide awards program and Gala Presentation Ceremony acknowledges the many and varied stakeholders involved in this vital, and often challenging, field of work.
