John Armstrong Workshops

John Armstrong spent some time delivering workshops in partnership with Inclusion WA and Identity WA during April. He delivered 2 x two day Social Role Valorisation workshops (Towards a Better Life), and a one day workshop (Putting the Right Values into Actions). During the week over 90 people from various human service organisations were able to come and work with John to understand some key principles and strategies that could lead to better lives for devalued people.

My Time at the National Youth Disability Conference by Jessica Kain

Last month I went to Melbourne to speak at and attend the National Youth Disability Conference. On the first day of the conference I attended several different sessions, presented by people from all over Australia including a couple on the NDIS and an interesting panel discussion titled “Is there a future for special schools in Australia”. The day concluded with a stand-up performance by Stella Young, comedian and editor of ABC’s Ramp Up. I highly recommend you see her if you ever get the chance. She is hilarious!
