The Shire of Toodyay’s Executive Support Officer, Kristee Jolly has this week been selected as a finalist in the Employee Award category of the Constable Care Child Safety Awards 2015. Kristee Jolly has been nominated by partner-organisation, Inclusion WA, for her commitment to the local residents, recreational groups and clubs within the Shire of Toodyay. The Shire of Toodyay and Inclusion WA joined forces in December 2014 in response to Toodyay having the highest rate of youth related crime in the entire Wheatbelt region of Western Australia.

I started working with Inclusion WA about 3 years ago. I was studying my Bachelor of Primary Teaching when I volunteered at the clubs as part of one of my units for Uni. I had an absolute blast and asked for a job!
There have recently been some changes to Inclusion WA’s Social Clubs. The biggest being that The Meeting Place is now being run by its members, with the assistance of Inclusion WA. There are a few changes that come with this, but the club and its members will now have more autonomy and the opportunity to make decisions for the club themselves.
