Tell us about yourself and how you got here.
I grew up and spent most of my life in France with my family in a region called Auvergne. However, I have always been passionate about travelling and my dream was to one day visit Australia. A few years ago, I got the opportunity to travel around Australia for 2 months with a friend and I loved it so much that I decided to come back a second time a few months later. It was in November 2011. I met my partner soon after and now call Perth my home. I have a background in Public Law, Social studies and Community Services Work and I am passionate about social justice.
Can you tell us something cool about your local area.
I live in East Perth and I love the fact there are always plenty of activities to do or hidden gems to discover. I particularly love the Perth International Art Festival and the annual Symphony in the City in Langley Park. I also love riding my bicycle along the Swan river on a sunny Sunday.
What’s something you know you do differently to most people?
I don’t slice sandwiches! I only realised recently It was odd to a majority of people!
Pretty much the best song in the world is…
Wish you were here - Incubus
What is your favourite way to spend a Saturday?
When possible, I like starting the day catching up with a friend for breakfast, followed by a walk in Kings Park with my partner. Finally, a nice way to end the day could be to watch a movie at an outdoor cinema in the city.
What is one of your favourite quotes?
“Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it” - Roald Dahl
